Large Glass Garden Wall Panel

Stained Glass Large Garden Wall Panel - This stained glass commission was for a lady who shows her garden in the RHS Open Gardens scheme, so I was very happy to make this to add something extra special to her show garden. The customer requested a piece of glass art that was based on the smaller garden hangings but large enough to fit in & not get lost in her exsisting garden full of flora & fauna.

The garden wall was painted white so translusent & opaque coloured glass could be used & we certainly took advantage of this & used some beautiful coloured & textured glass. The glass panel has a zinc frame to give it not only ridgitity but also a clean line edge. The seperate glass sections are seperated by lead, just as a standard stained glass panel or leaded window.

Confetti glass is beautiful & this glass garden sculpture lends itself perfectly to show it off to its best, as does the copper mirrored glass.

I soldered hooks around the edges so the leaded panel could be hung safely & any way round that the customer chose.

As a glass artist I feel very privileged to design & make something like this for such a special place, for not just the customer to enjoy but to expose others to the art of glass & how it can work within any space.

Size of glass garden panel 700mm x 700mm
